Words

Always in a rush
Never stay on the phone long enough
Why am I so self-important?
Said I’d see you soon
But that was, oh, maybe a year ago
Didn’t know time was of the essence

So many questions
But I’m talking to myself
I know that you can’t hear me any more
Not anymore
So much to tell you
And most of all goodbye
But I know that you can’t hear me any more

It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said
And as I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

Always talking shit
Took your advice and did the opposite
Just being young and stupid
I haven’t been all that you could’ve hoped for
But if you’d held on a little longer
You’d have had more reasons to be proud

So many questions
But I’m talking to myself
I know that you can’t hear me any more
Not anymore
So much to tell you
And most of all goodbye
But I know that you can’t hear me any more

It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said
And as I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words

The longer I stand here
The louder the silence
I know that you’re gone but sometimes I swear that I hear
Your voice when the wind blows
So I talk to the shadows
Hoping you might be listening ‘cos I want you to know

It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said
And as I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said
Never said
I can’t take back the words I never said

I’ve been thinking about my Grandma lately.  I truly do miss her.  She was always there for me, and I didn’t always return the favor.  My life wouldn’t be where it is if it wasn’t for her.  I wouldn’t have the same life long friends and memories that I have enjoyed over the last 14 years.  I’d always call her when I was doing something cool or exciting, and she would be able to share in the excitement with me.  I think that’s one of the things I miss the most.  Love ya Grandma!

With that said, got my first root canal today.  Everyone makes it sound like it’s going to be a super painful experience, either it was the nitrous, the fact that it was at 7am or the numbing, or a combination of the three but I felt nothing but him pressing down on my jaw.  I was so relaxed and thinking about all the other things I’ve gone through this year and that this was just another mark on the wall for the year!  I think I might have fell asleep for some of it, either that or I was so relaxed that it felt like I was.

I go in again on Aug. 9th for two fillings on the lower left side, and the removal of the wisdom tooth on that side.  Speaking of which, I’ll be seeing plenty of doctors and dentists for two weeks in August!  I’m going to see an Otolaryngologist at the University of Washington Medical Center on the 5th, he’s an expert at the surgery I need to get done on my vocal cords, so I’m quite excited about that.  The 5th just happens to be the day that surgery was originally scheduled for when I was with Group Health.  The 9th I go to the dentist again.  The 12th, I go in for my PET/CT Scan, and a follow up with the endocrinologist on the 16th.  GEESH!!

Formula D was last weekend and what an event it was.  The place was absolutely packed and it seemed as though everyone was having a blast.  But this is nothing new, it’s always a great time when everyone is in town for FD!

Seems like everyone is gearing up for Hot Import Nights return to the Puget Sound this Saturday.  People have been spending all week getting their cars cleaned, and new bits installed.  Looking forward to being able to relax and enjoy the day myself!

NFL Training Camp started today!  That means it’s almost football season!  #GoHawks!
