Hey, let’s try something if you’re game for it.  Let’s do a short term injection into your left vocal cord and see how you do.  Sure, that sounds great.

What you didn’t tell me is that I’d have to be on voice rest for 2 weeks and when I do try to speak it would be worse than it was before.

It wasn’t like this the first two times I had injections, why is this one different?  What else happened while you were in there messing around?

I’m tired of dealing with this voice problem.  I’ll give you one more surgery, then I’m done.  I’ll have to learn to live with whatever the outcome is.
