Should’ve wrote this yesterday, but I didn’t realize what day it was until later in the evening.
I was given my Cancer diagnosis 3 years ago yesterday. As he was taking 4 ounces of fluid from my neck, he could tell what it was based on the color of the fluid. Perhaps it wasn’t the official diagnosis, but it was enough for me at the time. So yeah, life certainly has changed since then, hasn’t it? Some people consider the day they were diagnosed as their “Cancerversary”, some choose they day they started treatment, some choose the day they ended treatment. I’ve chosen the day I went in for surgery as I’ll never be “done” with treatment. That comes at the end of next month and will include a nice dinner once again. 😉
It was also my Grandmothers birthday. I miss her quite a bit. She would’ve loved to hear about my recent trip to St. Louis. I’m sure you do too, right? I know, I know, I’m working on finishing it up. Have some patience.
